...it's been a while!

Badly behind in my digi course. Today officially starts our 4th and final week...but I've only just completed week 2. I'm going to have to get cracking this week to catch-up, and get lots of practice in.

I'm really enjoying the video tutorials, and the great support and encouragement on the forum and gallery.

I'm even thinking about doing the next course - Now we're Rocking with Photoshop! which starts in the middle of June.

I don't think I'll ever be able to give up paper scrapping....but now I'm actually understanding a bit about digi, and how versatile it is...I'm really loving it! And it suits where I am at the moment. I feel like I spend 24hours a day on the laptop....so actually doing something for me while logged on, just seems really cool!

Anyway. Here's some layouts I've done over the weekend.

This one is the class lesson for week 2.

We learnt about resizing photos, aligning items top/bottom/left/right, using different journaling fonts, adding bullet points, selecting individual items from .png files (in the case of this layout it was the alpha in the title), recolouring, using the eliptical tool as a drawing tool, and installing and using brushes.

Was quite proud of this effort.

I also spent a bit of time just playing around with papers and templates. Here's a layout I created on my own from a Kylie M Designs template, and some of Jessica Sprague's papers and frame. I added a bit of bling to the flowers to make them stand out.

Can't wait to do the week 3 lessons, and have more of a play with my new-found skills.

Catch ya later.
